On Saturday, July 24th, the Interact Club celebrated their one year anniversary of the food collection program. Over 70 generous Madison families donate on a bimonthly basis and their donations go directly to the food pantry at Madison’s First Baptist Church. “The impact the First Baptist food pantry is having on the Madison Community is a blessing. We are blessed to have a solid partnership with the Interact Club. We asked and the Interact Club has consistently been there to assist”, said Gwen Pritchett of the food pantry.
Since the free collection service started in 2020 over 1500 bags of food have been donated, collected and delivered to the pantry. In addition to the front doorstep collection service, the students have raised $4000 which was given to the Interfaith Food Pantry. In addition, the Madison High School Interact Club organized
three in-person food collections that benefited NourishNJ and participated in several Madison Rotary packaged food distributions. “We are so grateful to the Madison families that are participating in our free food collection service.
